Aaron Lim Design is a San-Francisco based professional architecture practice specializing in single-family residential additions, remodels, and ground-up construction in the Bay Area. We provide design, permitting, and construction administration services from initial concept design to final inspection.
Aaron Lim

Aaron Lim is a licensed architect in California and native of San Francisco and has been practicing architecture for over 10 years. He has worked at offices in New York, London, Los Angeles, and San Francisco at projects of all scales and stages of development. In the past 8 years he has focused primarily on single-family residential and light commercial construction.
He attended The Cooper Union Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture in New York where he graduated with a BArch degree in 2008 and received the Henry J. Adams Medal. He also spent a year abroad studying architecture at The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment in London.
In addition to his passion for architecture, Aaron is a dedicated runner and sometimes assistant cross-country coach at his alma mater, Lick-Wilmerding High School. In his spare time, he also crafts jewelry.
Ian Luke
ARCHITECT, project manager
Ian is a licensed architect in California and has been practicing architecture for 11 years. He’s worked on institutional, commercial, low-income housing, and office projects but has narrowed his focus to 1 + 2 family residential construction over the past 7 years. He has worked in offices Providence and San Francisco. Native to Pennsylvania, he received a B.S. in Architecture from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and an M.Arch from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale in Illinois. He enjoys approaching architecture with a modern aesthetic, creating warm, logical spaces while carefully detailing projects to achieve a clean, refined design.
Outside of Architecture, Ian can be found hiking and camping in the local, state or national parks in the area or playing in a few rec sports leagues around the city. He also enjoys taking in the art on display at various museums.
Jeff Schaeffer
ARCHITECT, project manager
Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts in Sustainable Environmental Design, and his Masters of Architecture from the University of California Berkeley. A licensed architect in California, he has eight years of experience working on residential projects of a variety of scales and types, from renovations of historic apartment buildings to ground-up construction of custom modern homes. He excels at finding space planning and detailing solutions to the complex design problems posed by the Bay Area's steep topography and dense urban fabric. As a project manager at Aaron Lim Design, he thrives on the experience of working with clients and builders to bring even the most difficult projects to fruition.
Jackie Berry
DESIGNER
Jackie received her BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley and dual Master of Science degrees in Computational Design and Computer Science from MIT. She worked as a computational designer for residential towers in San Francisco before taking a seven-year break from architecture to work as a software engineer. Throughout, she has taken on freelance residential projects, renovating kitchens and bathrooms in the East Bay. Jackie loves working in the residential design space where she can impact people's personal lives by creating beautiful and restorative spaces.
Anastasia Podvysotska
intermediate designer
Anastasia Podvysotska specializes in residential design, bringing a passion for solving complex architectural layouts and spatial puzzles. She graduated from the Kyiv College of Construction, Architecture & Design and the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture in her homeland, Ukraine. In 2016, Anastasia immigrated to the U.S., joining the residential design field in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Since then, she has worked under the mentorship of seasoned architects and had a hand in the variety of projects—including a new custom home in Sea Ranch, Bohemian Grove projects, Woods Co. bar, and numerous Victorian house redesigns. Anastasia believes that good home design directly elevates an individual's quality of life. For her, architecture is a powerful vehicle for a positive change: "Architecture gifted me the ability to create impact on the scale of a building." Besides her work Anastasia enjoys nature trips and painting.
Marta Delgado
INTERMEDIATE DESIGNER
Marta holds a professional degree in Architecture from the International University of Catalunya and a Master of Science from the University of California, Berkeley. She specializes in the intersection between cognitive science and the built environment, which she translates into research-informed design strategies for commercial and public spaces through her company, AWM (Architecture with Meaning). Additionally, she serves as the Head of Community Development at the Centre for Conscious Design (CCD), where she develops events and fosters frameworks to advance human and social flourishing through design.
Since 2021, Marta has collaborated with Aaron Lim Design on residential projects, enjoying the process of working closely with clients and bringing their visions to life as she works toward her architectural licence. In her free time, she loves to paint, dance, and hike in her home in Lake Tahoe.
